Dr. Ajita Chakraborty and Sri. Sarbari Roy Choudhury : Two great teachers who formed a linkage between Psychiatry & Art

Neither medicine nor art was alien to me even as a child. My father was a doctor, maternal grandfather Bano Behari Mukherjee was recognized as an eminent doctor, social-reformer, writer and a cartoonist and his younger brother Binode Behari Mukherjee is a legendary artist.In my formative phase , my ‘dadu’ Binode Behari Mukherjee played the role of mentor by integrating my ways of seeing and thinking.
I also had the privilege to get guidance in developing my skill from some eminent senior artists like Bijon Chaudhury, Sailen Mitra,Samaresh Chaudhury, Haren Das and my contemporary friends.
